Parisa Fasihianifard, a fourth-year computational chemist from Prof. Chia-en Chang's group, has been selected to receive the 2026 Thomas Morton Graduate Award in Chemistry. The selection committee praised her research creativity and technical ability, her excellent publication record, her strong ability to communicate science, and her active engagement both in her own independent research projects and fruitful collaborations with the Hooley and Cheng groups at UCR. This award was generously endowed by the Morton family in memory of Prof. Tom Morton, with the goal of recognizing graduate student creativity and broad engagement that supersedes disciplinary boundaries.
