Lin He, a third-year graduate student from Prof. Ryan Julian’s group, has been selected to receive the 2026 Donald T. Sawyer Award in Analytical Chemistry. The committee cited his excellent abilities in the lab, willingness to dive in the literature to overcome challenging obstacles, and his pioneering work in selective protein cleavage that is opening new opportunities in protein mass spectrometry. This award was established to recognize exceptional graduate students in analytical chemistry in honor of Prof. Sawyer, a long-time faculty member in the Department of Chemistry.
