The Robert C. Haddon Memorial Endowed Graduate Award was established by the Haddon family in memory of our esteemed former colleague Professor Haddon to encourage excellence in research in materials chemistry.
Yanxiang Wang, a fifth-year PhD student in Prof. Pingyun Feng’s group, was selected to receive the Haddon award for his creative and outstanding research into co-assembly of covalent and metal organic frameworks. His 2019 paper in Angewandte Chemie International Edition reporting this work was featured in numerous news outlets and provides the basis for his on-going research toward applying these materials for gas adsorption and separation.
