A UCR alumnus has donated $6 million to establish four new endowed chairs in chemistry. The Chairs recognize four founding faculty of the department (left to right): George K. Helmkamp, Harry W. Johnson, Donald T. Sawyer, and Hartland Schmidt. The endowed chairs will greatly assist efforts to recruit and retain the highest quality faculty.
