Three graduate students working under the direction of Chemistry faculty have received five year NSF Graduate Research Fellowships that provides a $32K annual stipend plus tuition support. Jessica McKinley is working on computational chemistry under the direction of Prof. Beran, while Katie Magnone and Ariana Nguyen are working on materials chemistry under the direction of Prof. Bartels. Another chemistry student, Melissa Morgan, received honorable mention and is working on chemical imaging under the direction of Prof. Cheng.
